in paragraph 1, first subparagraph, the word `progressively' and the words `when the transitional period has ended' shall be deleted;

in paragraph 2, the word abolition' shall be replaced by `prohibition';

(c)

paragraphs 3, 5 and 6 shall be deleted and paragraph 4 shall become paragraph 3;

(d)

in the new paragraph 3, the words `account being taken of the adjustments that will be possible and the specialization that will be needed with the passage of time. ' shall be deleted and the comma after `concerned' shall become a full stop.

in the introductory part, the words `As soon as this Treaty enters into force, the Council ...` shall be replaced by `The Council ...` and the words `by progressive stages' together with the commas preceding and following those words shall be deleted;

(b)

in points (b) and (c) respectively, the words `systematically and progressively' shall be deleted.
